Harwich has a rich nautical history and much of it's heritage can be seen in parts of the Old Town. The Harwich Society runs and maintains many visitor attractions within the area, many of which have been validated as CU Learning Destinations. You'll find activity sheets to download at the bottom of our bulletin page
The trail also includes
Bobbits Hole. The site is accessible from Asda Car Park, Main Road, open every Sunday throughout the year 10.00 to 12.00. This area can be traced back to maps of 1550 and is the Society Nature Reserve with pond and stream with walkways throughout the site, a haven of peaceful tranquillity between a Supermarket & pub Entrance is FREE Children can earn up to 30 minutes in their Passport to Learning for this activity
