Tina Franklin started the swim school in 1992, her aim then as now was to provide quality teaching in a safe and fun way. For the non swimmers and early swimmers the teacher and an assistant work in the water with class sizes kept small, the children really benefit from this extra support.
For the improver/older swimmer we have plenty to offer using the A.S.A. Award Scheme and the Rookie Lifequarding Scheme.
So whether it's learning to swim, improving technique and stamina or learning lifesaving skills we have classes to suit all ages and abilities.
To maintain the breadth of learning, this activity should account for, approximately, no more than 30 hours in any one academic year, or ten hours per academic term.
