Children are able to collect stamps in their Passport to Learning when they take part in the following activities at Manningtree Sports Centre:
Archery - Children learn basic techniques with the opportunity to take part in competitions
and to obtain the necessary experience to qualify for Archery GB membership.
Football Coaching - Beginner Classes introduce children to basic football skills and can take part in 5 a side games to put their skills in to practice. Advanced Classes build on these skills and introduce basic tactics concluding with mini-matches.
Sports Hall Athletics - Learning basic athletics such as Hurdles, javelin, long jump and sprinting and opportunities to take part in competiotions within their group and within the Tendring area.
Mini-tennis - Basic stroke play, ball sense and co-ordination are taught indoors with the emphasis on fun.
Gymnastics - Courses are run by level 2/3 British Gymnastics coaches with groups from beginners to advanced level working on floor exercises, beam work, training bar and vault.
Wall Climbing - Childrn learn basic techniques eg belaying and work towards certificates.
Trampolining - An opportunity for children to try trampolining under the guidance of British Gymnastics qualified coaches, working their way through badges 1-8 of the Bristish Gymnastics scheme.
Cheerleading - Children learn a different routine each week and are encouraged to suggest routines and moves.
Multi-Sports - Children take part in multi-sport activities including climbing, athletics, football, tennis and badminton.
